采用研究型档案展的形式，针对大栅栏片区，通过收集、整理相关已有公开性资料，包括但不限于——各种形式的历史档案资料、个人或集体的回忆录/口述史、影视文艺作品中的描述、跨学科文化领域的相关研究等——展示大栅栏片区的发展变化史的物料丰富性与视角多样性，并形成对象间的对比与呼应。

同时，开设由观众群体自由生发的“个体记忆”板块，鼓励观众、周边居民以线下或线上的方式进行微观视角个人史、家庭史对于大栅栏片区研究的史料贡献。

The research archive exhibition which is located in Dashilan area，showing the material richness and diversity of the area's on-going history by collecting and sorting relevant published materials, (including but not limited to -- various forms of historical archives, personal or collective memoirs/oral history, descriptions in film and art works, and interdisciplinary cultural research, etc).

Meanwhile, the exhibition set up the "individual memory" section for audience which encourages them to freely contribute their personal and family histories to the study of the Dashilan area from a micro perspective in offline or online ways.
